Remembering Pam Simpson

We are very sorry to share the sad news that Pam Simpson has lost her brave fight with cancer.

Pam was a long-standing and highly respected member of the moving and handling community. With well over 30 years’ experience, she made a significant contribution globally to the field through her work as a moving and handling consultant physio, trainer, educator, mentor, presenter, author and expert witness.

She was also co-editor of HOP7, and a contributor to HOP6. Her commitment, knowledge and contribution to moving and handling practice have had a lasting impact on many practitioners across the profession.

Many members will know Pam through her involvement with National Back Exchange. She was a long-standing Advanced member of NBE and Managing Editor of column between 2011 and 2015.

Our thoughts are with Pam’s husband, friends, colleagues and all those who knew and worked with her. She will be very sadly missed.
